Below, you will find some general information about the race and how to enter. If you already have a place and need to know all the the practical things around Göteborg Half Marathon, go to Race information.

How to enter

If you participated in 2007 or 2008, you will receive our international entry form automatically by mail.
Make your entry and pay on-line here »

Do not forget to inform us of your estimated finish time. This will be used to determine your start group placing and you can do it easily with a short message (containing your name, your reference number and the estimated time) by e-mail.

If you have a permanent address in Sweden, please make a regular entry as described in the Swedish part of the information on this web-site.

Notice - depending how many participants registered, the race could be closed before October 31.

The starting fee is to be paid through our on-line registration.

Number pick - up
Number pick-up Friday 15th and Saturday 16th. Pick-up will take place at Frölundaborg next to Slottsskogsvallen, located adjacent to the start.

The course
The course starts in one of Göteborgs most beautiful parks outside historic Slottsskogsvallen Athletic Arena. The site of many World Records. You will circle the city crossing over two bridges, which will give you an outstanding view of Göteborg and its harbour. Before finishing in Slottsskogsvallen Athletic Arena you will pass through Göteborgs picturesque center city. The course is relatively easy. Refreshments are served at ten station.

Confirmation of acceptance:
You will be notified of acceptance of your entry in the end of April, or beginning of May.

Prizes and awards:
Every finisher will receive a Göteborg Half Marathon Medal. All finishers will also be eligible for an Extra Prize Lottery.

Diploma:
You will receive a nice diploma after your fifth, tenth, fifteenth and twentieth race. You will get your diploma by sending us a postcard with your name and adress. Please note your latest running number and what years you have participated.
There is also a special diploma with your split times (SEK 60.-), buy the diploma/certificate at the Expo.

Liseberg, amusement park:
The amusement park is open to all runners on Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th. Show your medal or runing bib for free entrance.
